Seal Kits (Spares) / Sealing solutions

Seals play a very important role in any cylinder actuator, and proper seal selection positively impacts the long term performance of the product.  At IPH, seals are chosen based on design data related to application, cycle time etc, and aided by decades of experience in choosing the same.

Well chosen and correctly sourced seals, along with well designed and accurately machined grooves, can ensure a long leak-free life for the seals/cylinders, reducing maintenance costs, and unplanned shutdowns.

However, it is inevitable that, after a long period of time, seals will gradually wear out, and need to be replaced. This is where we come in with a reliable and reasonably priced option for seal replacement, where our spares are matched 1:1 with the existing cylinders

Features of the Sealing division :

We stock thousands of seals of different types, based on different parameters, such as high temperature, high speed, low friction, high pressure, zero leak etc, with different compositions such as PTFE, PU, NBR, Viton, Chevron V-packs, Canvas etc

Seals are further divided on the basis of application, such as pneumatic, hydraulic, hydro-pneumatic etc, and adequate stock is maintained, particularly those of regular items like ISO 6020/2, CCM mill spares etc.

Our inventory contains seals from reputed international brands like Hunger, Trelleborg, Merkel, Parker, Hallite etc, along with those of our own design.

Since cylinders supplied more than 30+ years ago are still working successfully at various places, we also stock some legacy (old design) seals in order to satisfy emergency breakdown requirements for those cylinders. However, customers are requested to replace the cylinders after 20 years, in order to take advantage of newer sealing technologies

Procuring Seal Kits (Spares for cylinders)

For your maintenance and spare requirements, kindly contact us with the serial number of the cylinder. Each cylinder has the serial number inscribed on it's label. In most cylinders supplied from 2011 onwards, we also have the OA number, and month/year of supply inscribed along with the serial number, for convenience.

In the absence of a label, we can trace the seal details from the details of the OEM, or from the purchase order / OA number.

It is VERY essential that the correct seals are identified prior to ordering the seals, in order to ensure a 1:1 replacement
